Mudflat hike in the bay of Mont Saint-Michel
While my husband Christian and I, Steffi, were preparing for our family vacation in Normandy, one attraction was on our list from the very beginning. We really wanted to visit Mont Saint-Michel with our children. Mont Saint-Michel is the biggest attraction in France outside of Paris. To avoid the hustle and bustle on the monastery hill, we looked for an alternative. After a short research it was clear: We would go mudflat hiking to Mont Saint-Michel with our children Lukas (10) and Anna (8) and explore the bay with the strongest tides in Europe on foot.
